LOCAL ACTIVITIES


The ski resort of Borovets offers swimming pools, bowling, ski-jumping displays, as well as the expected winter sports of ski-ing (downhill and crosscountry) and snowboarding. In the summer you can take advantage of the Gondola for spectacular views, and an easy or testing walk at the top, towards the Mussala peak. However, other activities are also available locally, dependent on the season of your holiday:

You may hire bicycles from us. You can take advantage of organised walks from the village of Govedartsi where the guest house is situated, and from other start points. In the summer we offer walks with riverside BBQ's included (it really is idyllic!) Day out walking with guide £5 per adult, £2.50 per child (14's and under). BBQ Lunch (open fire), price includes beer/wine/soft drinks, selection of meat/fish/potatoes/salad £8 per adult, £4 per child. Picnic/packed lunches available at £3 per person. The image (above, right) shows the river in Beli Iskar where there is a marked nature trail with seven wooden bridges across the water, suitable for all ages. CHILDREN'S OUTDOOR ACTIVITY DAY (BACKWOODS SKILLS!) - adults may participate or if the children are 8 or over, have some time on their own. Activities may include BBQ fire building, open fire safety and management, shelter building, survival skills, dam building in the river, wildlife spotting during a short walk. £15 PER CHILD

Hikes of all lengths are available, we can arrange tent or mountain hut accommodation for you if you wish to have longer on the mountain side. The seven lakes are particularly worth walking to, and can be visited in a day or really enjoyed with a night out in a mountain hut.
